They broke into a tent with knives: a Spanish biker in India was raped by seven men

 Vincente, 45, was severely beaten and then his 28-year-old wife was raped in front of him. 

 The Spanish beauty of Brazilian origin Fernanda and her husband Vincente have been traveling the world on motorcycles for five years. The bikers have visited six dozen countries and gained hundreds of followers on social networks. But a nightmare happened in India. The couple published a video showing signs of beatings. Both were in tears. Fernanda was raped by seven men.

 

After the incident, Fernanda and Vincente recorded a video, but soon deleted it.

The tragedy happened on the way to Nepal. Finding no hotel nearby, the couple set up a tent on the outskirts of the popular tourist town of Dumka in the Indian state of Jharkhad. This was not the first experience of this kind for the Spaniards; during their six-month trip to Asia, they spent the night in a tent more than once. Late in the evening, when they were already going to bed, they heard the roar of approaching motorcycles. Stones flew into the tent, and then seven men rushed inside.

The first to fall was 45-year-old Vincente, who was severely beaten with motorcycle helmets.

“They put a knife to my neck and threatened to kill me,” said the Spaniard. After this, unknown persons attacked 28-year-old Fernanda. They dragged her out onto the street and raped her in front of her husband. The travelers tried to offer the attackers money; they had more than $300 with them, but they snapped: “Only sex.”

 

The couple has visited six dozen countries and has hundreds of subscribers on their social network page.

The abuse continued for about two hours.

The beaten and exhausted couple of Spanish travelers were discovered on the side of the road by police at about eleven in the evening. They were taken to the hospital and the police recorded the statements of the victims. Doctors recorded a broken jaw in Vincente, and a broken rib in his wife.

The Spaniards spoke about their misadventures on social networks (the video was later deleted for unknown reasons). On their account X, users have watched the video over 500 thousand times. In addition to words of sympathy and support, subscribers shared their, most often negative, experiences in India.

 

 In hot pursuit, the police detained three suspects in the rape of a Spanish traveler, and then another. The search for the two continues. One of the detainees confessed and named those involved in the attack. The attackers were young people aged 20 to 30 years. According to Indian law, they could face life imprisonment.

 

 

 Now the Spanish couple is in the hospital under police supervision. They plan to return to Spain in the near future.

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding what happened to the couple. The department said it would send officers to assist victims and help authorities identify the perpetrators. The Brazilian Foreign Ministry also expressed its readiness to provide support - Fernanda has dual citizenship - Spain and Brazil.
